HAPPY JUNIOR

Happy Junior is a project concerning early education issue in students from 3 to 6 years old. Exchange participants will be teaching English in a creative and innovative way to these students, hence impacting the future generation with a powerful exposure of early education.

Job Description:

 

  1. Develop and execute educating lesson plan related to English such as story telling and singing sessions to students.

  2. Conduct cultural-based activities such as share about language, festivals, traditional food and costumes with the students to provide international exposure to them.

  3. Prepare sessions or activities that stimulate students' creativity such as handicraft, art classes and educational games.

  4. Design and conduct general knowledge classes related to environment, wildlife & societal awareness with students.

  5. Participate and assist in special events and celebrations such as trips, charity bazaar and Chinese New Year.

Empower Youth

Empower Youth is a career development based programme where exchange participants get the opportunity to be the workshop facilitator of numerous high schools to increase the awareness of youth, ranging from 16 - 18 years old, to fight for their own future. Through Empower Youth program, exchange participants will engage, encourage and empower youth in choosing the right career path thus develop their soft skills.

Job Description:

 

  1. Deliver workshop by empowering students to increase their awareness in choosing the right career in life.

  2. Design the session content with other exchange participants. Facilitate workshops and in charge of the sessions.

  3. Attend the training for the preparation of the workshop.

Job Description:

 

  1. Plan and develop session for career camps such as activities to enhance leadership skills and communication skills.

  2. Deliver the planned session creatively to students so the students' understanding on soft skills will improve. 

  3. Involve in all the preparation of career camp and also after-event meetings to improve in the coming career camp.

L.O.V.E

L.O.V.E or Lifting Others through Volunteering Engagement is a social development based program where exchange participants will involve with those who are physically disabled, mentally disable and special cared children. Love and care are needed from the volunteers. Through L.O.V.E programme, exchange participants can plan and work on how to develop towards a betterment of an organization.

St. Nicholas' Home

 

Job Description:

 

  1. Escort and facilitate students to special functions, eg. charity event.

  2. Teach technical skills to the vision impairment or blind students from age 8 to 18 years old with the assistance of the NGO.

  3. Work closely with the organization and be responsible in archiving reports and updating students' report.

  4. Opportunity to involve in marketing research or marketing trip for fund-raising projects.

Penang Science Cluster

 

Job Description:

 

  1. Undergo 2 projects alongside with the organization namely TECH MENTOR and ESTEEM.

  2. For TECH MENTOR:
    - Undergo product knowledge and equipment skills training.
    - Design and co-create suitable science workshops for students with age range from 8 to 14 years old.
    - Facilitate workshops in school or science café.
    - Mentor attendee that sign up for the programme in school or science café.
    - Organise competition for the students that sign up for the science café
    - Facilitate in preparation for any upcoming external engagement events such as Science Fair.

  3. ESTEEM is the learning of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and English through engaging, fun, hands-on, real-life relevant, and inquiry-based learning workshops.
    For ESTEEM:
    - Design interesting content and materials for the class, conduct and assist in the class curriculum.
    - Co-create and organise the content of the class curriculum along with the staff of the organization
    - Build content and deliver sessions on leadership and personal development to instil growth mindset.
    - Inspire and motivate students to take responsibility of their own development along with a global mindset.
    - Evaluate the performance of the students through survey findings.

ECO RANGERS

Eco Ranger

Eco Ranger is an environment based programme focusing on the education on the public towards reducing solid waste and food waste. Exchange participants will act as eco rangers in raising awareness to the publicin saving the environment.

Clean Our Plate (COP)

 

Job Description:

 

  1. Be creative and innovative in generating ideas to promote and execute cross over challenge with the public.

  2. Plan and execute interactive and fun workshops in high schools to educate the students on the importance and ways to reduce food waste.

  3. Set up food donation hub in different shopping malls to educate and to encourage the public to donate surplus food to those charity lacking of food supply.

  4. Plan and execute surplus kitchen, a buffet stle dinner that will be served to the public with the help of exchange participant buddies as facilitators. 

  5. Instill the idea of surplus kitchen which is to promote the use of surplus food as cooking material to reduce food waste conditions.

LISTEN TO ME

Listen to Me

1 PROJECT | 2 OPPORTUNITIES

Listen to Me is a health care based project concerning about kidney failure. Exchange participants will be involved in helping the community in achieving the vision to increase outreach to the public, educating them about the importance of proper health care.

St. Anne Haemodialysis Centre

 

Job Description:

 

  1. Assist in patient's befriender or patient's adoption by being friendly with patient, provide counseling, sharing and care for each other.

  2. Assist in patient's admission and build good relationship with patients by accompanying center staff for home visit to patients' house.

  3. Help design materials and spread awareness about healthy lifestyle and kidney disease to public.

  4. Help in awareness campaign by sharing knowledge about kidney failure to public in church or schools.

  5. Attend and accompany staffs for fund-raising programs such as selling flowers at Chinese funeral.

  6. Showcase your country during Global Village which will be held in Penang island and USM Engineering Campus.
